As of April 2019, we exhausted our efforts in finding a permanent home in Gig Harbor. We asked the City Council for $50,000 a year for 10 years to keep us in Gig Harbor since we have been out priced in today’s market-or help us with a building location. The City of Gig Harbor was unable to help us in any way to stay open in Gig Harbor. We made a temporary partnership with PenMet Parks for our smaller shows but needed to find a new location by the end of March as they needed the space for their programs.
Paradise Theatre has moved their upcoming show to the Historic DRAGONFLY THEATRE in downtown Port Orchard. We will be opening ALL SHOOK UP April 12-May 4. We want to know what you think of the new location! Please attend and give us your feedback. The Building is for sale. It has been a theatre since the 1920’s.

As many of you have heard by now, Paradise Theatre is out of a home by October unless we can come up with more than quadruple what we are currently paying for rent in our downtown location. We met with Mayor Kit Kuhn in June and went before the City Counsel filling the room with supporters (some in MUSIC MAN costumes) to show that LIVE Theatre is important to our community. We had three individuals give their testimony of support urging the counsel to either help us financially stay for another year or help us with a new home. We presented 350 signatures gathered in two days from folks who feel LIVE theatre is important! We have another 600 signatures to turn in all showing support.
